Mack and Mancos

I found a review of my absolute all time favorite Pizza joint called Mack and Mancos in Ocean City, New Jersey by some guy named Mike from Phili. He claims that Mack and Mancos has been his favorite pizza place for twenty years. It wasn't until just recently that Mike discovered a Pizza he loved more than Mack and Mancos. Mack and Mancos produces consistent pizzas for the most part that have a "fantastic taste and texture," which leaves my mouth and Mike's "literally watering at the thought of it." Mike and I as well as most New Jersians hold the same standards for our delicious pizzas. For many pizza parlors, the cheese turns into a "slab" when it cools from using too much cheese or not enough sauce. However, Mack and Mancos uses just the right amount of cheese allowing it to cool consistently and to accompany the sweet delicious taste of homegrown Jersey tomatoes instead of overpowering it. As Mike simply puts it, the cheese to sauce ratio is absolutely perfect!

So, enough about the delicious pizza I remember that's making my tummy growl furiously and onward to a deeper analysis of Mike's review. Mike's review is short and holds my attention by establishing his credibility right off the bat. He continues to hold my attention by addressing the pizza's consistency and tastefulness in short, separate paragraphs followed by a concluding memory of which my family and I can relate. In that concluding paragraph, Mike adds some lovely imagery to really bring the atmosphere of this pizza place alive to the reader. Mike doesn't use any specialized language, although he does bring up some locations that only New Jersians are mostly familiar with, which is no big deal (if you really want to know what places he's talking about look it up on Google ^^). And of course, his very last sentence, which stands as the last paragraph truly sums up Mike's and my own feelings about this pizza place and the memories it holds....

Fair to Midland Review

Fair to Midland is my absolute all time favorite band. However, I have noticed it's hit-or-miss effect on people. The album Fables from a Mayfly is wonderfully composed. A review by Absolutepunk states that this particular band seems more appealing to the geeky crowd who loves The Lord of the Rings and Starwars. I somewhat agree to this statement considering the amount of fantasy put into the lyrics however, I discovered this band from my non-dork friend so this statement isn't entirely true. The main reason why I love Fair to Midland so much is because I have never heard a band like them. They are original, emotional, and dark, which I find very appealing in a band. If you like the spirituality of Tool plus the rock of Incubus, you will love this band. I highly recommend them (as they are my favorite band :D)
